This is my first blog post from Costa Rica! Wow, it took us a long time to get here. We brought a lot of stuff because we are hoping to stay a long time.
Then we waited a couple of hours so that we could get on a van to Puntarenas.
We went from San Francisco to Denver then took a red-eye to San José, Costa Rica.
Then we waited a couple of hours so that we could get on a van to Puntarenas.
There we got on a ferry to Paquera,
it was very windy.
After the ferry ride we got back on the van to get to Montezuma. It was a long trip down a bumpy dirt road but we made it to our hotel, El Sano Banano. We were so tired we had been up for 33 hours.
Just getting here was an adventure!

Sounds like the only thing missing was a train! An adventure, indeed. So glad to see you made it there. The burning question here is have you seen any monkeys???? :) Have fun. Can't wait to see the next post.
ReplyDeleteYES!!!! We have seen a white faced monkey and have heard howler monkeys. We just haven't gotten a good picture.

Glad you made it in one piece. It does sound like quite an adventure! Those howler monkeys can get pretty loud. I hope that you brought your earplugs. Have you been able to swim in the ocean yet? Can't wait to hear about your next adventure.
